As April is coming to an end, it brings the anticipation of what color Angela will choose for June for our Rainbow Scrap Challenge. This month we've been using up pink scraps. I chose Grandmother's Jewels for my main scrap project. For now, I'm planning on making more jewels for a larger quilt than shown below.

My pink jewels made progress this month. It helps when I remember to pack my thimble for Mom's PT appointments! New total = 4.5 of 5 per month as my goal.

In spite of still needing the fifth green jewel, my stack is growing!
In gardening news, I got both rain barrels out of the basement and set up. We had rain this week and they are both full!
The Purple Minkee columbines have started blooming ...
And the front clematis is starting to open. I love this one's color!

Have a great weekend, friends, and don't forget to look in on Angela's blog to see what scrappiness others have dug up!

4.5 out of 5 is great progress so far. April isn't over until Friday, so I am sure you will be able to finish up that last block. Thanks for sharing the clematis. It is always so affirming to see new flowers bloom each spring.
ReplyDeleteYes, all the pink jewels are finished now as are the orange ones. (Amazingly, Blogspot just found your comment so sorry for the delayed response!)
DeleteYour Grandmother's Jewels sure sparkle! EPP projects always touch my heart!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love EPP too, definitely for the portability. (Amazingly, Blogspot just found your comment so sorry for the delayed response!)
DeleteYour Jewel blocks are coming along - and so pretty in pink! Those Columbine are gorgeous, too. I've never seen that variety before. I have some blooming that are also different than the typical ones you see out here. I'll have to see if I can figure out their name!
ReplyDeleteThank you. (Amazingly, Blogspot just found your comment so sorry for the delayed response!)
DeleteYour new addition to Grandma's Jewels are gorgeous Susie. This is a great "on the go" project. I love seeing what is blooming in your garden. Your clematis is so lovely. Sadly mine did not survive. I may have to buy another. I hope your mom is doing well with her PT. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteDid you find another clematis? Several of my others are blooming now or have bloomed. Thanks for the wishes for Mom. She's hanging in there but is glad there is no PT today due to the Memorial Day holiday. Lol! (Amazingly, Blogspot just found your comment so sorry for the delayed response!)
DeleteYou have a nice little pile of jewels there and your garden flowers are looking lovely. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks! And the jewel pile continues to grow. (Amazingly, Blogspot just found your comment so sorry for the delayed response!)
