I'm enjoying my monthly weekend of sleep-in-my-bed retreat. I wish all my fellow scrappy quilters a good final week of RSC Pink! I myself managed to dip into pink this week and did the following two GemTones BOM blocks offered by American Patchwork & Quilting magazine.
That's all from me this week. I'll be sewing today with my friends although cut a little short due to hubby has an MRI appointment in St. Louis this afternoon. I'll need to get home to be with Mom.
Thank you, Angela, for getting all us scrappy quilters together again for the final push on pink! See more pink HERE.
Super cute GemTones blocks!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Let's see if I can manage getting blue ones done a little more timely! Ha!
DeleteThat background fabric is so pretty & really makes the pink stars pop! So lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you, That background is a leftover bit from a backing fabric. I loved it there too!
DeletePretty PINK blocks, Susie! I had a Sew Day with my Quilt Bee today. I imagine having one monthly would be great for productivity. Here's hoping DH's MRI went well and he is able to get some answers!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joy. The MRI went well but his appointment for the reading doesn't happen for another week or so. Fingers crossed that this will be the last from his kidney cancer five years ago.
DeleteThose blocks are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks! They went together easily when I read the directions! Lol!
DeleteTwo great pink blocks - enjoy your 'retreat' and hope your husband is OK. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you. Let's hope this is the last MRI for hubby. It's the 5th one since his kidney cancer so I'd think a clean reading would be the end. We'll see ...
DeleteThose pink Gemtones blocks are so pretty! Hope you're enjoying the retreat. Mike had an MRI on his neck about a month ago and came out with terrible vertigo - he was very dizzy for a couple days. Another doctor told us it was most likely the position that the tech put Mike's head in. Hope your hubby did not have a similar experience!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Vertigo is awful to deal with! Fred is a pro when it comes to MRIs. This is his 5th annual MRI since his kidney cancer so I'm thinking a clean reading means this one is the last. Right? Guess we'll see.
DeletePretty pink blocks.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteLoving your sweet pink blocks.
ReplyDeleteThank you! They're pretty fun to put together when you read the directions! Ha!
