Midway through January already and sharing all things positive again this week. Valentine's Day is less than a month out so I started getting out the decorations. I made this wall hanging in 2014 after buying the fabrics in 2004, I believe, at Primitive Gatherings in Wisconsin before I knew who Primitive Gatherings was!

Speaking of Valentine's Day, I finished stitching the cross-stitch piece from Primrose Cottage. Lousy picture. It's actually stitched on a beautiful piece of blush-colored Lugana. I will try to get it finished this week or next. Who knows? Maybe I'll even get a better picture taken!

On the homefront, I managed a monumental task this week -- I hand-washed all my hand-knitted socks! The weather earlier had been perfect to get them washed and hung out on the line to dry. I'll not be able to do that again for a while! Our weather has turned frigid once more.

Here's one last chuckle for you. Little Polly decided that Gracie's big bed in the kitchen was the perfect size for her.

Have a great week and "Bloom where you're planted!"

What a beautiful collections of socks you have!
ReplyDeleteI love my wool socks, as you probably guessed. Even more, I love knitting them. Need to get after Hubby to help me wind up more yarn. There are a few pairs in that display that really need to be tossed. Thankfully they last years & years!
DeleteLove that heart display with your mini quilt, and all those socks - they're so fun! I have that Valentine cross-stitch downloaded - just need to get started on it. I just realized that I read your Saturday post, but never commented. I love that EPP project - it's really a pretty design! And - I'm in the osteoporosis category unfortunately - took Fosamax for 5 years and had some good results from it. Now I'm on a break from it because that's what they recommend after 5 years.
ReplyDeleteYes, Mom was on Fosamx for quite a long time quite a long time ago. Guess she's good for another 5 years on it! Let's see ... that'll put her at 97 and 1/2. Yikes! As for my socks collection, I need to get after Fred to help me wind up some yarn for some new pairs. Several are finally wearing out!
